GHOOM NEI is a manifesto of the lower working segment of the society. Running through the highway of the dark broken society and reaching towards the bridge of light is what GHOOM NEI is all about. A group of people belonging to a class who are struggling under dictatorship, the class
which belong to the lowest segment of living standard in the society, which means people pertaining upon whom the gain and loss of the society is determined- covers the central point of focus in this play. Story of the truck drivers and their existential crisis; story of a dhaba and its owner; story of an unemployed and his struggle to enter the mainstream; story of an insane and his dreams; story of a senior individual to whom these stories add no meaning; story of two reporters and their search of a new story. Thousands of hand joined in a chain can bring about a new sun of light. So, this story talks about sailing towards a shore of the ocean full of HOPE and COMRADESHIP.
